I am so excited that we are now getting to the stage in the restaurant planning where there is finally enough news to start sharing. “I’m still working on getting my permits” is just not that exciting to read or motivating to write about.
Peter Niemitz, from Niemitz Design in Boston, is designing the actual restaurant. He is sought after by the restaurant industry and we are so lucky to have him on our project. He designed Aquitaine, Gaslight Grill, Grill 23, Gibbet Hill Grill, Kirkland Tap and Trotter, some of the Capital Grills and, most recently and locally, Bondir – right here in Concord (for my local friends, have you been to Bondir yet? It’s beautiful!). We have the floor plans for the restaurant pretty much set and now we are working on the interiors.
We are hoping that construction will get started in the next few weeks. The building itself needs a lot of work and we plan to tackle some of the structural needs while we wait for the final version of Peter’s plans.
Check back often. I will have more to share soon. Maybe even a name!
